“Net-Zero” Store Produces More Energy than It Consumes With the Help of 3M Daylight Redirecting Film

Walgreen’s, the Nation’s largest drugstore chain, with over 8,000 stores nationwide, opened its first “net-zero” location—a store designed to produce more energy than it consumes. It is equipped with wind turbines, solar panels, and a lighting strategy that incorporates 3M Daylight Redirecting Film. “For every vertical foot of window glass treated with redirecting window film, 3M estimates that natural daylight can be extended up to eight feet into a building’s interior.
