Window Film Tax Credit Gets Approved by Congress

The International Window Film Association sent out a press release last week about the new Congressional approval of a tax bill called the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, which will let homeowners receive tax credits for energy-saving upgrades to homes, including window films. Window Films Improve Energy Efficiency in Schools

According to www.energystar.gov, “the nation’s 17,450 K-12 school districts spend more than $6 billion annually on energy — more than is spent on computers and textbooks combined. As much as 30 percent of a district’s total energy is used inefficiently or unnecessarily. By being more energy efficient, schools can help prevent greenhouse gas emissions and improve the students’ learning environment. Subtle Window Film Application Makes Big Impact

Carolina Solar Control of Raleigh had the privilege to complete a job a for Duke this past week. We started this huge project in October of 2012. On the Learning Center Grand Wall– a thirty foot by fifty foot wall– of one of Duke’s new medical pavilions, we cut custom graphic arches from Dusted Crystal Vinyl, and applied it to the wall.
